Please fix the Paranormal Investigator career

I'm still waiting on this getting fixed. I bought the pack at the beginning of summer, all exited, and I have still not been able to play with the career because my sim gets stuck at the house they are investigating on the first mission because the countdown doesn't send my sim home/ let me leave when I'm done, so I can't play it.
Like what's the point of the pack if I can't even play the career? I love supernatural/ occult elements and there are so few in the sims 4 and now I can't even play it properly
I've already pressed 'me too' on the bug report site but it does not seem to be a priority to fix this, in my opinion, big bug on a small pack. Like smaller bugs newer bugs get priority over this big one, why?
