Open group conversations

Sims can only talk to one other sims at a time, even though there are other people in the conversation. I want to see sims respond to what the other sim is saying as long as they are in the conversation.
Example: If one sim gushes about partner while said partner is nearby, that sim will react.
P.S.I wish I could put my thoughts into words better.

Yeah, the current group chat system is a little wonky to me. I feel like every time I ask a specific sim something they will
a.) not answer
b.) wait until their 4 hour group conversation is over and finish the queue

Not a fan.
