@HillyBeth It's better to get conversions anyway because you can pick and choose what outfits you actually want in CAS instead of showing the whole range of adult clothing as well as teen clothing at once!
@SPARKY1922 Thank you It's not so difficult really. Once I have "good bones" in place, CC does the rest Making the original sims can be hard work. My hand is completely cramped from trying to keep my slider movements precise! Most of the sims I have shown recently are born in game so are no effort at all
Ooh I certainly beg to differ re your comment concerning it not being too difficult to make beautiful sims when you get good bones for sim making. Well for me at least I learned after playing the sims for some considerable time that I had to finally admit the truth to myself about being the worst S3 creator in the world lol You name it I have destroyed it or made it look worse-) and this is why I am always truly grateful for all those talented creators out there whose content makes my games look as awesome as my mind envisions them to be
Do you have an exchange link for your sims/other content?
These are about the best I can do with CC if I have a reasonably good looking sim but this batch are from my vampires so look accordingly-)
@SPARKY1922 There's absolutely nothing wrong with your sims! I'm sure it's mostly down to personal style. It also doesn't help that vampires look less defined because of the glow. My all-time favourite vampire is Beau Merrick and he looks very different to my usual sims. Although I resized all his features to be more like my human sims you can see he looks very different.
I don't share my sims but I can tell you that I mostly use Mango Smoothie skin and Tifa blushes as well as blushes/makeup from other creators.
Lovely pics your sims are lovely nothing wrong there Did you make those sims yourself in CAS though or just tweak from sims already in game? I don't always need stunning sims but in city and beach worlds I pretty much like them that way if I can because those sims are mainly musicians, actors and the like so they have to look the part and for the beach well all sims like to look good for that
Thank you but my sims took a long time as they were not made or tweaked around in cas because I cannot do that without making my sims look worse lol I have to wait until a really good looking sim falls in my lap and then tweak with all the CC in my arsenal where you actually make your sims look good to begin with in cas without any waiting for a good one to come along and that's a skill I simply don't possess-)
I love the late night vamps your Beau Merrick is fab but it's his expression that really gets to me in that last pic where he looks so intense and almost insane which is awesome
I also use a lot of Tifa it's fab CC and I will go take a look at mango skin as I have been using the same default one for years now.
@SPARKY1922 In my youth I would sketch faces, both serious and caricature, and was told I was very good at it. I haven't drawn since my father died over 40 years ago but I suspect my sim making is an expression of my repressed artistic trait.
From what I have seen alone on these threads you have a wonderful creative talent so it's a shame to have been put on hold for so long but I can understand the why. My talents lie in a different direction but it does not stop from looking at all sorts of creative art everywhere and enjoying it then wishing once again i possessed some of it
@SPARKY1922 Thank you As long as you have talent in something all is good I have seen some amazing sims on various simming sites that are truly awe-inspiring but I don't try to emulate them because, although they are brilliant, they are not my style. I do enjoy looking though
@SPARKY1922 - Most sims are from base sims that come in the game. You have to tweak them to fit the way you want them to look. As it was, I took a picture of Tracey Needham
...and tried to get my sim to look as close to her as possible.
And of course Kimber was just a sim that I thought up of and tried to figure out how to make her look as close to what I wanted her to look like as possible.
Always "River McIrish" ...and maybe some Bebe Hart. ~innocent expression~
Well from my RL experience everyone is born with something they are really good at quite naturally and some very lucky people possess more than one creative talent which can be the icing on the cake
Like you not everything is my style but I just love looking at everything admiring a persons/players talent for whatever it is..
I like looking at your sims and your posts on the threads you are also very creative and I see you do the same as me in that you take the sims from the game that you think will fit the personality you are looking for and tweak from there but i would love to be able to do from cas directly with sliders but as I said in another post I make the sims worse even if that was possible sometimes-)
I was wondering if custom content body hair is a thing for TS3 for male sims. Everytime I google for it I just get a lot of TS4 sites even though I clearly search the Sims 3.
I only ever download from the sims resource and i havent had a problem until now. I've heard the horrors of bad custom content ages ago and decided i trust TSR the most. I'll probably check out some of the suggestions here though... I 100% always go for hairs because i like dyed tips and EA's makes it choppy whereas TSR custom hairs usually have a beautiful fade. good luck to you
I hope you all don't mind me asking so many questions regarding custom content. I was kind of wondering which custom eyelashes are the best to use? The in game ones are lovely of course but they only work on the top lashes and I was hoping I could find something better.

You will want an extra mod to remove the EA lashes with these. Otherwise, the overlapping doesn't look too great... The downside, all sims won't have eyelashes until you put them on. This is the one I use to remove EA lashes: http://retroxdance.tumblr.com/post/30594281115/while-im-trying-to-figure-out-what-i-can-share
(The creator doesn't mention it but put this mod into the Overrides folder. That's where I put it since In my experience, it doesn't work in the normal Mod/Packages folder.)

It looks like the creator of the toddler-child lashes updated them to work with the sliders but you will need to use her sliders instead (enabled for all ages).

For some reason I don't seem to be able to get them to work properly. I've installed the files but the original lashes are still on my sim. I'm sure it's probably something really obvious what I'm doing wrong.

Are the CC lashes not showing up at all on the sim? Mind you, they don't just appear. You have to put them on first. I think you can find them in makeup > eyeliner. The face overlay I also linked should remove the EA lashes but place the file into the Overrides folder. The sliders and lashes go into the Packages folder like normal. *If you have no Overrides folder, you can make a new folder called Overrides inside the Mods folder.
If you want to stack eyelashes with eyeliner then you can use NRaas: Master Controller to do so since sims can normally only wear one thing per category. Nraas > Master Controller > Settings > CAS > Multiple Makeup per Location
Sorry to throw so much info at you. I'm sure it's confusing.

I have yet to make a stunningly gorgeous Sims 3 sim as I tend to not look for the "model"-gorgeous type.
Meg is based off Tracey Needham (in real life) from JAG Season 1.
Kimber is about as "stunning" of a sim as I can make so far off the top of my head.
Maybe I gotta try harder...

I guess body hair came with Generations - https://simsvip.com/sims-3-generations-guide/
Thank you so much.
I also think it's worth it grab ice-creamforbreakfast's chest and stomach hair. It's finer than what we were given by EA.

Ah thank you so much. It drives me crazy. Every time I google for the Sims 3 it just gives me mostly Sims 4 results.
I use S-Club's eyelashes paired with her eyelash sliders. The sliders only work with the S-Club lashes.

Lashes for toddler-child but these won't work with the sliders.
