Disappearing recyclables

I went into manage worlds to move sims from my household I didn't go into any other household but when I returned to my home all my recyclable bits and pieces vanished. I had over 7,000 between them both and I lost all of it. It has happened every time I go to manage worlds.

This seems to answer my question that I was wondering about. My question was why my sims could not seem to gain any amount on their recyclables?
