key button to put items into household inventory

When moving houses its often a painstaking process to move plants, upgraded items and paintings into my sims household inventory. It would be great if I could select the item then hit, for example, 'i' for inventory.

While in build mode, I think you just select the item and hit backspace and it puts the item in your household inventory.
