My student sims don't stay seated

Almost every time I have my sims do homework they sit down at the table to do it, but if I have them do a second assignment, extra credit or other class homework for the university, they get up from their chair and sit on a bed or a couch and proceed to do their homework.
I have to tell them to sit in the chair they were in originally and speed up the time to get them over to the table faster taking away about 5 to 15 sim minutes that they could have been working on it.
Why do they do this?
I've even had them kneel on the ground and walk out of their way to sit on a park bench and to do their homework (including in the rain) when the house is closer.

There at least should be a mod for this
