Hey everyone,
So after playing the Sims 4 on my MacBook Pro for a couple years, I'm happy to say that I've finally bought a decent windows gaming desktop 😁 Super pumped, however, I'm not really sure what type of monitor to get.
I got the iBUYPOWER BB960. (Yes, I plan to eventually add more RAM down the road). Not sure which PC specs matter when it comes to monitors, so feel free to ask what they are/give advice on that- I'm a newbie when it comes to this.
What are some monitors you guys would recommend? I can spend no more that $200 at the moment. (I'll also be playing Planet Zoo when it's released).
Thank you!!!

NVIDIA RTX 2060
27 inch option, VA Panel: https://www.amazon.com/27HC1R-Pbidpx-27-inch-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07LCFXV41/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=ips+monitor+gsync+compatible&qid=1571763579&sr=8-8
Another 27 inch option, VA Panel (I think it's on sale, not sure if the price will change soon): https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Monitor-Refresh-Compatible-Display/dp/B075KFPJ5C/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=ips+monitor+gsync+compatible&qid=1571763579&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&sr=8-12
This one comes in both 24 and 27 inch, IPS Panel: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-27G2-Frameless-Adjustable-Guarantee/dp/B07WSK5W7V/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=ips+monitor+gsync+compatible&qid=1571763579&sr=8-16
The main things that I was looking for were:
-1920 x 1080 resolution (I think this resolution is best suited for a 2060, and it also keeps us within budget.) If you wanted a 2560 x 1440, you could probably find one.. but you'll almost certainly have to make sacrifices on the panel type and I don't think it's worth it. A 2560 x 1440 would also be more stressful on your graphics card. Keep in mind that 1920 x 1080 will look crisper on a 24 inch display than it would on a 27 inch one, if that matters to you.
-IPS or VA Panel type which will give you much better colors than a TN panel would. IPS is generally considered the premium option, but VA isn't bad at all.
- A refresh rate at least over 90Hz, to make things feel snappier and more responsive.
- FreeSync or Gsync compatibility, which is fancy technology that matches your monitor's refresh rate to a game's framerate, making your games smoother. This is probably the least important feature for you to be concerned about, but it's nice to have.
