No "Ask about Magic"???

I have had my sim buy magic stuff and has spent 2 or 3 sim days in the Magic Realm getting to be friends with all 3 Sages and yet there is still no option to " Ask about Magic"! What am I doing wrong??

Is your sim a supernatural one (vampire, mermaid, alien)? They do not have this option.

She is a Mermaid. 🙁 Thanks. I will create a New family. I will create a family with a boy my sim's daughter can marry after she grows up. Her daughter is a Mermaid too. 😊

I wish we could discuss magic between life states.
Especially when my human and Sorceress get married, and have kids he’s going to have so many questions. And should be able to at least read magical tomes.
