Hi, so I wrote a story a few years back called Love Drunk with The Sims 3 and it even resulted in a sequel called Love Drunk 2.0 which is unfinished due to my game going kablooey. My game just does not work on my PC or laptop right now and I have been trying to save up for ages for a really good new gaming PC so I can play both Sims 3 and 4 nice and smoothly. Anyway life happened and that plan is on the back burner, however I have managed to recreate (of sorts) my characters in the Sims 4.

Here they are in their original Sims 3 form (bit spoilery but ah well):

So I wrote chapter one of Love Drunk Sims 4 Style, it's different but the gang are still the same!

CHAPTER ONE: WELCOME TO THE BAND is up now!

Evelyn Dawn Robertson, born 25th July in Riverview to parents Sarah (Sadie) and Gordon Robertson. She has a sister Olivia who is four years older than her, they have a strained relationship as Liv is extremely jealous of her younger sister. Lainie has a degree in Hospitality Management and Catering, she works in the local fast food restaurant as the head cook. She's a really good baker and her specialty is her Victoria Sponge. When she moves into the old converted warehouse with her best friend Roxy, she falls for Dexter Maloney unaware that her feelings for him are more than mutual.

Lainie Sims 3 and Sims 4 versions:

Dexter William Maloney, born 29th December in Moonlight Falls to parents Avril and James Maloney. He has an older brother, Ashton, who he lives with. They have a very close bond and their father often commented that Dex was the yin to Ash's yang. Sadly Jim passed away of a heart attack when Dexter was 24 and Ashton was 26. Dexter formed the rock band, Deadly Nightshade, with his brother and two childhood friends Jeremy Price and Andrew Mitchell. Jeremy recently walked out on them taking their name with him. They put out an ad for a new keyboard player to replace him, and found Roxy, or she found them. Dexter also has a degree in Fine Arts and has worked in animation and advertising before throwing himself completely into the band. He is an artist at heart, but does enjoy being the writer and lead singer of the newly named Sweet Cacophony. He's pretty besotted with Lainie Robertson, and usually he can sweep a girl right off her feet and woo her, but with Lainie he can't even string a sentence together never mind sweep her anywhere.

Dexter Sims 3 and Sims 4 versions:

Ashton James Maloney, born 6th March in Moonlight Falls to parents Avril and James Maloney. Ashton is Dexter's older brother by 2 years, when Dex was born Ash would cradle him in his arms and call him his baby. He would sleep in his cot with him when he wouldn't settle and loved bottle feeding him, Ash just loves being a protective big brother and has been all of their lives. Ashton left school with an opportunity to study athletics and physiotherapy through a scholarship, but he declined and decided to make his part-time job as a Lifeguard a permanent one rising through the ranks until he was Chief Lifeguard. Before his father died suddenly he was always boasting about his sons, the hero and the artist. When Dexter formed the band, Ash cut back his work to part-time again to concentrate on making their music career a success. Ash plays the drums and although his younger brother is the lead singer and a bit of a pretty boy, he has his own following in his own right. Erin Daley being one of those followers, she's 15 years younger than him but he just can't seem to get her out of his mind, she soon gets frustrated though as he wants to keep their budding relationship a secret from his family and friends.

Note: In Sims 3 he was a Firefighter, in Sims 4 he is a now part-time lifeguard.

Ashton Sims 3 and Sims 4 Versions:

Erin Jane Daley, born 23rd June in Twinbrook to parents Carol and Mitchell (Mitch) Daley. An only child, Erin grew up as the outsider among her peers all through primary school right up to high school. When she met Selena McLean at college while they were both enrolled in a Beauty course, she thought she'd finally found a kindred spirit. Sadly though it soon became apparent that Selena had a screw loose, and when they started following a little known band around the club circuit called Deadly Nightshade, it was blatantly apparent just how loose Selena's screw actually was! Erin fell for the drummer of the band, Ashton Maloney, and was delighted when she caught his eye one day and they struck up a friendship and mutual interest in music. Erin never really sees the age gap, she always forgets that Ash was born over a decade before her, but he is so youthful and into the same things as her age bracket that it is barely noticeable just how much older he is. She longs for him to accept that they are meant to be and tell his loved ones about her, but will he? Will she wait around to find out?

NOTE: In Sims 3 Erin and Ash officially met when Selena let off a fire alarm in a club so that she could summon Dexter unaware that only Ash worked in the Fire Service. Ash gave them both a stern talking to, Erin later found where he lived to go and apologise, and the story basically unfolds the same in both versions after that.

Erin Sims 3 and Sims 4 versions:

Andrew Joseph Mitchell, born 3rd September in Moonlight Falls to parents Tara and Joseph (Joe) Mitchell. Growing up his mother called him Andy, as did all his friends and family. By the time he was 10, Drew's parents had split up over his father's drinking, and after initial strains Tara began to rebuild her relationship with her in-laws, Winston and Elsie. Joe was in and out of young Drew's life but his mother was his rock, even encouraging his love for music by buying him his first guitar aged 14, he was delighted as he had pestered her for it every time they passed the shop window, his best friend Dex was learning piano and he wanted some day to form a band. Sadly Tara was killed by a hit and run driver a few months later and Joe left completely, unable to cope with his estranged wife's death and a young son. Winston, having lost Elsie a year before, took his grandson in and became the father he never had. Drew also viewed the Maloneys as substitute parents, as he was never out of their home all through his childhood and teens. To this day he still looks to Avril Maloney as his mother, and he now lives with Dex and Ash in the old converted warehouse. Drew is in love with Charlotte Kennedy, he has been since she rented one of their spare rooms. In fact it was his love for Charlotte that made him fight with Jeremy Price in the first place and caused him to quit. Will he admit to her how he feels though? She is a very kooky and pleasantly strange young woman, so a hint just won't cut it, but is Drew strong enough to be that assertive?

Charlotte Alice Kennedy, born 18th June in Appaloosa Plains to parents Temperance and Arthur Kennedy. Charlotte is a twin, her brother Robert is just as wacky as she is but not so smart. Known as Lottie to her mother and brother, Char by the boys, and just Charlotte to everyone else. Her parents separated when she and Rob were babies but he always maintained contact even though Temperance made it nigh on impossible. Charlotte was married when she was 18 to a boy named Lewis who swept her off of her feet, she thought it was true love until she discovered he married her to get a chunk of her father's fortune. Arthur owned the largest construction company around and was rather wealthy, so Lewis ended up getting nothing as wealthy people tend to have good lawyers. Charlotte was left devastated and broken afterwards and retreated to her mother's cat sanctuary where she helped out and also adopted a few kitties along the way, she had longed to be a mother so being a fur baby mother was a fair substitute after her heartbreak and complete lack of trust in men. No one knows if Charlotte was this off the wall before her marriage, or if it was a result of it, either way everyone loves her the way she is...especially Drew! Will she ever cotton on to the fact that he is crazy about her?

Charlotte Sims 3 and Sims 4 versions:

Roxanne Beatrice Harmon, born 24th November in Riverview. Roxy and Lainie grew up together and attended the same schools where they were both misfits and outcasts. In fact Roxy was so badly bullied that she tried to take her own life when she was 14, Lainie stopped her and took her to the hospital where she had her stomach pumped and was forced to see a counsellor. Despite being a visibly beautiful young woman, she struggled with her weight during her teens and always thought of herself as ugly. It was actually Lainie who gave her the confidence to apply for the band. She thinks living with the boys and trying to snag a record deal is going to be smooth sailing, what she isn't counting on is the arrival of a certain young fellow who knocks her out of whack!

NOTE: In Sims 3 Roxy was rather overweight as an adult and lost it over the course of the series. In this version she has managed to shed her "puppy fat" but still occasionally suffers terribly from body dismorphia. She may seem like a confident lady, but deep down it is not the case in both incarnations.

Also I've forgotten the names of her parents, oops, they're saved in my Sims 3 game so, oh well!

CHAPTER TWO: THE DEBUT OF SWEET CACOPHONY is up!

Matthew John Hayes, born 2nd October in Bridgeport. Matthew is a young businessman who rents one of the rooms from the boys and is instantly attracted to Roxanne. She gives him the brush off many times but he is still determined to win her over. Not much is known about Matthew other than he likes comic books and is an all round geek. His past is shrouded in mystery, and his "business" is too.

Note: Matthew arrived late on in the original story at Lainie's diner where Roxy was a waitress. He tried to woo her then too, and she eventually caved. Will it be that easy this time round? Also Matthew was not made by me in Sims 3, but made for me by another simmer.

I'm going to post the minor character bios here and there next. It's a reminder for me, and an introduction for people who are unfamiliar with the original incarnation. Anyway, up next will probably be Selena, Rob, Liv and Temperance.

Chapter Three: Matthew! is up and ready to read!

Selena McLean, born 23rd October in Midnight Hollow to unknown parents. Selena is a bit special to say the least, she happens to be completely obsessed with Dexter Maloney and Deadly Nightshade/Sweet Cacophony. She met her friend Erin at college and they first saw the objects of their affections at one of the band's earliest gigs and they vowed to follow them anywhere, before Erin knew what a fruit loop she was. Selena is so besotted with Dexter that she hangs around his home, his hangouts and anyone who he has been seen out with. One person who has incurred her wrath is Lainie, after spotting Dex singing to her, Selena has decided that this girl has got to go!

Temperance Kennedy, born 11th January in Appaloosa Plains to parents Alice and Robert (Bob) Halliwell. Temperance is the off the wall mother of twins Charlotte and Robert Kennedy, and the estranged wife of Arthur Kennedy who owns Kennedy Constructions. She owns a cat sanctuary that she inherited from her mother Alice. She met Arthur while out looking for one of the cats she was fostering that went missing, he helped her to look and even found it, from then on it was love hearts and roses. Temperance spent a lot of time experimenting with "herbal teas" as she calls it, during this time, and she remembers very little of her relationship and eventual marriage to Arthur. She left him when the twins were babies with no explanation, Arthur was and still is a very loving father, Temperance has a revelation for the twins and it will open a huge can of worms.

Note: In Sims 3 Temperance was made for the story by a very dear friend Kuba, he made a few sims for me back then and built the huge mansion that the band ended up living in at the end of the original story and during the sequel.

Olivia Elizabeth Robertson, born 13th May in Riverview to parents Sarah (Sadie) and Gordon Robertson. Liv is Lainie's older sister by 4 years, she's always been jealous of her and felt that Lainie was the prettier one who got all of their parent's attention because she was cute and the baby. Lainie loves her big sister and tries very hard to make their relationship work, but there is distance between them and resentment. Roxy has never got along with Liv and sees right through her every time. She knows a secret about Liv, something terrible that if Lainie found out, it would devastate her. In a twisted kind of way, Liv loves Lainie with all of her heart, her jealousy just overcomes her.

Robert Kennedy, born 18th June in Appaloosa Plains, to parents Temperance and Arthur Kennedy. Rob is the twin of Charlotte, and although he shares her oddball personality, he is not as clever or as perceptive as his sister. He is set up by Charlotte to date her housemate, Lainie Robertson, unaware that it is a diversion to get Dexter Maloney to confess his feelings for Lainie. He develops a rather unhealthy obsession with her, much to the embarrassment of his sister, and seems to dislike Dexter viewing him as unworthy of her. He watches how Dex has a short temper, is easily jealous, and cannot even own up to being in love with her. Will Rob eventually realise that Laixter are meant to be?

Rob Sims 3 and Sims 4 versions:

Alexander Wilder, born 1st November in Sunsest Valley to parents Nicola and Alexander Wilder Senior. Alex met Lainie at university and they started seeing each other shortly after that. Roxy never liked him and saw right through his pretty boy charm, she also knows something to this day about him that Lainie doesn't, and if she found out it would break her heart. He was Lainie's first love, chose a gap year over her, and she never saw him again. Until he rocks up in Newcrest to find her. What does he want? Are his intentions honorable? Dexter doesn't think so, and neither does Roxy!

Alex Sims 3 and Sims 4 version:

I have chapter four written, and while I was on a roll I thought I'd start writing chapter five. I realised that in the original Sims 3 version, Lainie and Drew never really had much "screen time" together if any. They were in "scenes" together, but they never really talked much, the only one I can think of is when he brought the coffee machine he made to the diner and she hugged him and thanked him. So in chapter five they will talk, a lot! I'm actually quite excited about it!

Jenna Riley, born 11th June in Sunset Valley to unknown parents. Jenna is a psychologist, she likes Sweet Cacophony and has been to a few of their gigs. She has met Selena there and knows she is bad news, and not wired up right. She also has a thing for Dexter, but being a psychologist she analyses every situation tries to understand the habits and actions of everyone around her. Like she knows Selena is dodgy, she knows Dexter is in love with Lainie, but she tries to put it to the back of her mind and focus on getting Dexter to fall in love with her instead. Because in her mind, she can love and take care of him far better than Lainie can at this moment in time. She likes Lainie, and she wants to be her friend, she also wants everyone to be happy...and to get what they want. Even though it's more than likely that she won't get what her heart most desires!
