What are your favourite worlds and why?

«13
Just thought I would ask. My first favs is Appaloosa Plains, I love the small country town feel to it and there are just enough lots to place most everything you need. Wild horses can also be found running around in this world. My second fav is Lucky Palms, I love the assortment of houses both in town and the cool single rancher homes across the highway, and the world has room for all the newer big buildings.

Probably Lucky Palms first, then Hidden Springs. I know it is small and seems to get a lot of hate but I just think it is so beautiful and green. I could live there for real. Third I'd have to say Twinbrook. The sims are wonky but the world runs very well on my laptop and is easily navigable.

I imagine the grass in Hidden Springs is super soft to roll around in. :D

Lucky Palms is my favorite. I try to avoid playing there so much... The lots on the lake, tons of space, desert, build theme, and premades are the reasons why I love it. I got the Gold version first world I ever bought full price and I still don't regret it. The gambling skill is pretty cool too!

Keeping in mind I reconfigure just about every town I play in, redoing the community lots and most times remodeling the residential lots, my favorites are Sunset Valley, Riverview, Twinbrook and Hidden Springs. I haven't played in all the EA worlds I have but of the ones Ive tried they are all pretty good. The only one I don't particularly like is Barnacle Bay.

Sunset Valley first and foremost as I play there 90% of the time why??....I know it, I feel comfy there, it's home base to me. Riverview is second place along with Moonlight Falls, I love gutting them and making them my own, then typically lose interest after I play a few days. ;)

My favorite EA world is Hidden Springs. But my favorite worlds of all are the ones I made, which are actually CAW edits of EA worlds.

My favorite EA worlds are Lunar Lakes, Moonlight Falls, Oasis Landing, and Sims University. I haven't played Lucky Palms yet, or Starlight Shores, or Sunlit Tides. I really like Hidden Springs as well. I'm currently playing Isla Paradiso and have a love/hate thing with it. Dunno if it will ever make my favorites. For CC worlds I love Bellatrix, by Rflong, and Strangetown, by aaronrogers8i3.

    edit: the why...

LL - unusual and beautiful world with interesting homes
Moonlight Falls - quaint with some large lots, interesting residents
OL - beautiful, awesome futurist take on the architecture.
Uni - I always enjoy sending my sims, and the town itself can be quite stunning.

Have not played in Lucky Palms??? You're fired !!! :p Really is the best world not only to play in but to redo as you see fit.Can literally place every EA store venue or cool lots in general. With so many large lot sizes freely open to the player it gives a ton of options, plus the rabbit holes are fantastic love the bistro on the cliffside and the diner with the deck they are really cool.Blooming Cactus Bisto in my opinion is the most detailed best looking one in any EA world.

This is totally me! SV is like "home" to me. I know it like the back of my hand and there are no surprises or time wasted looking for things.

My favourite worlds are Sunlit Tides and Lucky Palms because they are gorgeous! Even though it takes forever to travel in Sunlit Tides and it's more like a vacation spot, I still love to have some casual gameplay in it. Lucky Palms on the other side has the best houses in the sims 3, and there's so much of space to put new lots!
I also love Sunset Valley because that's where I played the most when i first got sims, and I love all the houses and families (I know them all by heart lol), it's like my childhood neighborhood!
Twinbrook and Hidden Springs are very high on my list too! :)

Same here. Sunset Valley is like a home town to me.
I would have a tough time choosing favorites, also there are several worlds I have not played beyond an initial checking it out.
I primarily play Sunset Valley and Bridgeport. I did enjoy Lucky Palms the couple of times I played it.

I forgot the "why" part of the question. I love Hidden Springs because it is so beautiful. But I like my own worlds best because they have everything I want in them, with all the community lots organized realistically, without the ones from the EP's just placed haphazardly wherever there's room for them whether it's realistic for the type of venue to be there or not. And there's no wasted space from having to place them on larger lots than they actually need, due to lack of smaller lots.

Sunset Valley. I redo all the worlds I play in and I like it best, think it's laid out the best for that. I do like Lucky Palms for all the large lots but never know what to do with all that space over by the military base, it never seems like part of the town.

Seeing all the comments, they're reminding me of all the worlds I don't spend enough time in. So many beautiful places and so different looking.

My favourite is Lunar Lakes. I love how unusual the landscape is, it's so beautiful and weather works surprisingly well in it. The main thin I love about it is how cool all the pre made houses are. The developers really did a great job on them, they're all really unusual looking and fit with the theme so well. I know a lot of people hate the rabbit holes in them but for me they save so much space in the town, especially considering I can't go into those buildings anyway, don't need them to be big.

I really like those rabbitholes. For my build & edit world, which is just a large flat map I exported from CAW to use for building and for assigning careers, skills, relationships, etc. to the households I make to populate empty worlds, I have one 64x64 community lot, where I have placed all of the LL rabbitholes and the smallest science center in the game. That is so much simpler than adding more lots to accommodate all the rabbitholes I need for assigning careers to the sims I'm going to populate towns with.

Not only that, but they are perfect for placing into the basements of buildings, to make community lots that fit with the look of a town, where none of the rabbithole buildings in the game catalog will look right. I am also thinking of using them when I send a sim household to Oasis Landing for an extended visit, since OL has no school or grocery, which my sims will need if they're going to live there for any length of time.

Blooming Cactus Bistro...Even though a rabbit hole can choose to eat outside plus the "Fake" interior looks real as heck very convincing as a high end dining place.Plus am sure @Simasaurus09 can say too it really attracts a lot of sims there always seems busy.Cannot tell from this pic but it is on a high cliff with support beams a cool overlook.

    I love that rabbit hole.
Lucky Palms also inspired some homes for me and gave me my favorite Casino.

I love the variety where it comes to character and atmosphere, my favourites being: good old Riverview, Bridgeport, Hidden Springs, Monte Vista and Dragon Valley. But I especially love the broad choice of different and unique worlds.
