Hallowchristmas... What???......

Alot of homes around my suburb had decked out Christmas decorations for Halloween.... just ... why??

Plus the Christmas infomercials have begun. Here we go again.

No trick treaters this year because of clown threats. Kinda sad its come to that.

Yeah, we're getting the christmas stuff before November here in Oz.
And we'll have hot cross buns turning up on boxing day.

    Everything is so commercialised. *Sigh*

^I'm not a massive fan of them since I've been hearing the same Christmas songs every year as long as I've been around (27 years). They're a little old. There are only so many versions of them you can hear before you go, "Please write some newer Christmas songs." I'm also not a fan of how commercialized the holidays are. It just makes me shake my head-Christmas isn't about who can get the best most expensive present, it's about being with your friends/family and being thankful. And reflecting on the year you had. I don't know when it became all about the money but it's just crazy. I feel like it wasn't like that 30 or so years ago. I don't know where things went wrong.

I'm sorta not looking forward to Eve & Boxing day. It got pretty violent last year. I just feel bad for some people in the restaurateur business as more are going to be open this Christmas.

My friend dressed up as the Grinch for Halloween, and I wore a Christmas jumper about a month ago, so I'm all for Christmas this year (I basically missed all the fun last year from, well, nearly dying, so I'm excited to actually enjoy Christmas this year)! ;)

@Savage_Patch_Kidd Spawn is such a badasse! I've only read a few of his comics here and there, but he's really cool! :D
I'm a huge Spidey fan (as you can tell) with Deadpool and Daredevil close behind! I'm not too sure why they're all red, it's probably just the colour of awesome! xD

    @SimChickee Fair enough :joy:

@DarkSuperNinja Super rad! I mainly follow Spawn, Zatanna, Deadpool & Wonderwoman. I used to read alot of Spidey comics back in high school.

Spawn, Deadpool & Daredevil, all three have powers that counteract their physical disabilities. I love that they're all similar & you gotta admit red is a super badasse colour :sunglasses:

A pretty weird suburb hidden in the swampy mountains. Only one way in/out.

I get very dense fogs sometimes so my street looks like Silent Hill at night.

I spend most of my time in the city though. Mainly cos I go to classes 7 days a week most of the time.

Two shops had Halloween stuff in one aisle and Christmas stuff in another.

I don't get trick or treaters because I live in a flat.

I don't decorate until the week(ish) before Christmas.

The lows around me had their christmas stuff out a month before halloween! I'm dreading the day my work decides they want to start tuning into christmas music. 2-3 long months of jingle bell torture

Yep. Lowe's put their Christmas stuff out in early September. It's been selling the whole time though. As people complained about the price and how early it was they still buy it. Companies are just going to push it out earlier and earlier if people buy it. They don't know or care what you tell the cashier they care what your wallet says.

Honestly Christmas is rapidly losing all meaning to me. I sound like a grinch I'm sure but it's rapidly becoming a 6 month holiday. In fact one year already from the time Costco put out their tree to the time HMV stopped playing their music in mid January ws literally 5 or 6 months. And I was so done. It's not special any more. When it takes literally half the year its not special, it's just another day.

We don't celebrate it in my family but it was always so magical and fun to me as a kid none the less. Now it feels more like a race to see who can put their stuff up faster and leave it up longer (and more like a hallmark holiday). Working retail didn't help any though, haha.

Christmas has already sorta lost meaning since I know some old high school mates who have no choice but to work on Christmas day. I really hate the idea that restaurants stay open almost every holiday season now.

Yeah Christmas decorations usually stay up til April these past few years. I'm just glad that I did have fantastic Christmases growing up. Now it just feels like just another Summer break.
