It's amazing! I had never experienced the story progression because I had never reached beyond the 2nd generation in TS3.
I configured the mod and when I restart the game, most of the houses were already occupied
. Now all my neighbors get married, move and have children, there's even same-sex couples who adopt their children

Now I get distracted watching my neighbors than my own Sims
. Sometimes there are pregnant Sims walking around, even some NPCs:
However I have some questions:
How do I disable notifications for pregnancies, marriages and births, without disabling birthdays and deaths notifications?

You can disable all effects on households marked as "played" .

It makes the townies more alive as they now get married and have children,
It can restrocy/modify sims (set fit and fat limits for genders, who can get pregnant, gender preference for sims, and much more

Actually, since Dine Out added relationship decay (on steroids!) to the game, I'm just going to straight up tell all of you that as far as I can tell, MC is the only mod I know of that will SAVE your rotational play.
Certainly can't rotate unmodded and expect to see anything but carnage as you do it, now. WIDESPREAD amnesia. Most ridiculous "by design" feature ever... well, one of three. Culling, relationship culling and relationship decay.
MC's got 'em all under control. I love that. Nice knowing I won't be losing sims unless I delete them.
