When baristas give up

My geeks and coffee chics were each having a gathering at their favourite cafe in Windenburg. The coffee chics were drinking espresso and having a chat, whilst the geeks were mostly inside their private room playing videogames. Normally one or two geeks leaves to grab a drink or something to eat and returns with the rest of the club once they've finished. However, this time almost every single one of them swarmed to the espresso bar. Poor Amber was overwhelmed by the amount of customers. She gave up and left the cafe. I'm dead serious, she was nowhere to be seen!



Being the leader of the coffee chics, Jessica knew she had to step up to the challenge. I sent her to the toilet, dressed her up in the barista outfit with a mirror and got her to tend the bar. Luckily this time only 2 of the geeks showed up as the rest had returned to their videogames. Unfortunately, the members of hew own club didn't cut her any slack as they all ordered their drinks at the same time. In the end Jessica did a good job and everyone was happy with their coffee



I've seen baristas in other cafes (where my clubs don't gather) get overwhelmed by customers from time to time. This however was the first time I've seen the npc give up entirely and leave lmao. Are baristas in your games also having too much work? Maybe the developers should give our sims the option to man additional espresso bars and get paid I'm sure the npcs would appreciate some help.

That's what I thought but no new barista showed up. Amber reappeared about 5 hours later so maybe she took an extended lunch break.

LOL I have not noticed this before. I am still exploring GT, as I'm now babysitting my little grandson who goes to kindergarten. I don't have time to play my game after he goes to school, as he has to be picked up a mere 2 1/2 hours later. So, I concentrate on getting my emails read and/or deleted, eat my own breakfast and then it's time to zip back to his school. Upon occasion (very seldom) I am able to play my game, but It's becoming, for me, mostly a Saturday event, when I'm accustomed to being able to play any day during the week, whenever the mood strikes me. I'm afraid my legacy challenge game is falling behind, too. However, I did take said Gen. 2 heir to the cafe in Windenburg. He proposed to his girlfriend there and that is where they eloped! I did notice that everyone and their uncle tended to swarm the counter for service. At one point I tried to get my Heir fed, but I also wanted his date to go well. It did, but they went home to eat. I shall have to look into this more.
