Is there a roommate type mod?

This may seem odd but is there a mod where you can create roommates so I can marry a guy, have him move in, but NOT have control over him?

Sorry, I know that was available in Sims 2 and there was a cheat code on Sims 3, but I don't think Sims 4 has been addressed.

...but you could do the following workaround without mods. Have sim a (let's call her Carla) marry sim b (let's call him Simeon). Move Carla to a different lot, maybe an empty one. Move Simeon to Carla's house. Then play Carla, but DON'T move her household. Just have have her live at Simeon's place all the time. She'll have to do an extra travel after work to get there from her "home" lot.
