SPARKY1922SPARKY1922 Posts: 5,965 Member
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me regards up to date CC that can be used with the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection?

I was looking to try Default/none default skins.

body/face templates (as it took me a little while to realize there were no sliders in Sims 2-)

eyes (all ages)

Hair (all ages)

make up

Male/female clothes all ages

and does anyone know if the sims 2 Functional Beer Keg where sim can get drunk still works as it was made years ago... :)

    Hi :)

    All up to date (for M&G)-old CC works with the UC. :smiley:

    I use modthesims for all my Skins and eyes. Hair is Everywhere... really easy to find.

    TS2 has sliders- Body Shop has more than in the game. :)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\CSBin = has the Body Shop exe. You can make a shortcut and put it on your desktop if you want. :)

    There are a few posts with CC links. I'll see if I can find them. :)

    Hi @Rflong7 ,

    Thanks I have not started looking at the body shop yet and assumed CC, skin, face templates, make up etc made by other players and added to my game would not require it right now, at least I hope that's the case?

    My head hurts with Sims 2 stuff this last few days as I am finding it quite difficult to get my head wrapped around some things being so used to the way Sims 3 operates.

    I have played for several days to make sure the download and install was running okay and and I love it but would like to try some CC now to try making my Sims look a little more modern and possibly add couple of more modern home lots.

    I had thought that some CC might be too old or not be right for the UC version as despite running it through clean installer I want to be sure what I am adding is not going to bork my game-)

    Oh, no- you don't have to use Body Shop for installing- I suggested it for making Sims because it has more slider options when making their faces. :)

    There is 1 main place to install CC- That's the Downloads folder in the Sims 2 folder in Documents.
    Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection

    Clean Installer is to install Sims2Pack files. If you download .package files then they go right into Downloads- after extracting from zip files. :)

    You can have folders within folders within folders. :)

    @Rflong7,

    Thanks I will check those links out but before I forget to ask if clean installer is for sim2pak files :* can you tell me what I can use to check package files out prior to installing the same way we use Delphy for sims 3? I knew I would get something else wrong today lol

    http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=227925 might help. I haven't used it in a few years so I hope it works with
    the new UC. :)

    *You Can use the Clean installer to check your Downloads... it will list and show some of them. :)

    @Rflong7,

    Thanks I had not seen that although every time something says open with SimPe I leave that alone because I am aware that UC requires some kind of SimPe fix and no matter everything I read about SimPe I still don't know how to install it properly or understand how it really works.

    I shall have fun (hopefully) seeing a little CC in my game for now :)

    No, don't open things with SimPe unless you understand SimPe- as an editor of the file, not for normal use. :)

    Hi, I'm having a similar problem to you.
    I really want to install CC but have no idea how to go about it because I bought UC through the app store on my mac and of course that means I have no EA Games folder.
    Does anyone know how to go about installing CC without placing it into the downloads folder?
    Thank you xo
