Weird shadows on my sim's faces

Sometimes when my sims are outside at night, their faces look like this:



It's only when they're outside, and it's only sometimes, not all the time. I can load up the save and it will be that way, I can exit the game and get back in and they'll look normal, and then I can exit and get back in again and it'll look like that again. It's really annoying. What do I do to fix it? I just don't understand how sometimes it's fine and sometimes it's not.

Maybe it's the shadow bug that also turns harvestables black? I noticed that when my sims are working with the machines from GTW or the easel, there is sometimes a kind of blue lightning all over their body. EA really has to fix the light.

i see you have created more then one thread on the topic. it woudl be helpful for those trying to assist to just pick one to keep updating like alanmicheal is asking did this only just start happening after the new patch? have you recently updated drivers? or are your drivers old? did you review card settings and what is your card
