@Arkane about ever skipping a holiday? Yes. There was a drive-by right before Christmas that year and memories are garbled as to sequence, but I do remember complaining in what felt like an all-night drive, that it was Christmas. I was a tween.

Other than that, I've worked holidays before and it felt like skipping them kind of, but usually I found some way to do a little something.

No, and I'm glad! We gingers are more sensitive to temperature extremes than non-gingers. Cold hurts more, heat hurts more. But in exchange we get resistance to electrical shock pain. Go figure. Gingers are Pikachu.

Ahh, you mean 'noodling', as for catfish? No, I have not, but I did catch a fish with a bow and arrow once.

Regarding snowball fights, no. There's never enough snow around here to do that. 😭

Not with ropes and equipment, but I have explored caves and slept in one. That was not fun. The floor is rock, and jagged and uneven...way worse than just sleeping on the ground, and since it's not safe to make a campfire in a cave, one doesn't even have that comfort in that situation.
