Quick question about Retail Stores and Death

When the sim who owned the retail store dies does it get passed down to their children or spouse?

Retail stores are owned by the household, not by an individual Sim. So as long as at least one Sim remains in the household, the store will continue to be owned by whoever lives there. (I've confirmed this in my own game; my Sim started a bakery, later died of old age, and the bakery was inherited by her niece and niece's boyfriend who retained all of the retail perks as well.)
