Can't pick a channel to watch on TV - only surf..

When I try to pick a specific channel to watch on TV, nothing happens. If I pick - Channel Surf - my sim will turn on the tv, but then he instantly appears behind the sofa standing.
Anyone else having this happen? It started with the patch..
Tried removing the few mods I have and did a repair, but it remains.
