TS4 is stuck on the home screen!

After Origin updated my game will freeze on the home screen. I've heard a couple suggestions but they resulted in me being scared to death thinking I lost my saves. Can somebody please help.

by home screen do you mean the first load screen? do you have any mods or cc installed if so pull and test agian
