The Sunset Valley Murder Diaries (Introduction)

Okay so this is only the introduction to the whole series thing.
There wont be much but it'll just give you a brief idea of what it'll be like and how the layout will be so you can see if you'll like it or not.
Jack stood in the forest, looking at the towering trees that surrounded him. He'd always visited this place when he was young. He never saw it again after he moved to Riverview but now he was reunited with his hometown.
"Ahh." Jack sighed and smiled. "Just like I remembered it." He lowered himself to the dark green grass and sat down.
"What a beautiful day!" He said to himself. He began to hum, but his hums turned into shrieks of horror when he saw what was hidden in the bushes.
He was petrified with horror. After about 5 minutes, he yelled for help as people passed the forest. They all peered into the bush and all of them were frozen with fear with what they saw.
Okay guys, so could I have some feedback on it if I'm going to continue writing in this style? Do you like this? But thanks for reading.
