Is that not what this is a case of? If EA had given the devs more time to work on the base game by delaying its release then we wouldn't be waiting so long for the first expansion as they wouldn't be trying to chuck in everything we wanted in the base game. Ie, the base game would have been delayed a few months and the expansion would have ended up being released at the same time anyway.

From what I'm reading it only looks like EA wants to put its (the expansion) sales into next years profits to bolster stocks. I don't know... it's nothing but a thing to me.
