Story name: Asylum (A Love Story)

Genre: Romance, Horror, Drama, Mystery, AU Sim Fanfiction Crossover?

Warnings: Male pregnancy, M/M F/F relationships, to be added, slightly adult oriented but hopefully nothing above PG-16, violence, or mentions of it, possibly out of character thing, a lil cursing maybe idk, to be added

Other things of mention:

As stated, this is kind of a fanfiction, but it is AU meaning it has no connection to the the actual series. It takes characters from various shows and changes their back stories, etc etc. So, you don't have to know anything about any of the series to read it. I'm going to forgo saying what series everything relates to because it's not important, and also because it's embarrassing.

Furthermore the story will not be posted directly to the forums. Instead it will be linked from AO3 (a safe site, don't worry, for those of you who do not know.) The reason being is the censoring on this website. I understand it's for the greater good but it makes story writing very hard especially when it corrects every word to 'plum' and makes the meaning of certain words very confusing, and also takes away from the story and makes it a little less likeable because it's highly unlikely that the Sims will be using 'plum' in their every day conversation...

I will post when new chapters are up but will add all chapter links in the main post.

Also, I am not a perfect writer, and I do not always capture people's personalities perfectly, and so I only ask that you bare with me here in some places. Some of these people I have never written, or have only written once or twice.

And without further ado, the summary.

Summary:

History has been plagued with rumors and myths about the supernatural. Demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and so forth. But they were just myths...or were they? As history progressed into the present day, mention of these myths became just that. Stories you tell at the camp fire in the dead of night. Tales to tell those naughty children. But they were just stories. In reality, they weren't. Though extremely rare, some of these creatures did exist. Due to the skepticism of present day beliefs, those who were cursed with being something other than human kept it quiet. Is when their secrets came out that they were branded as crazy.

This is where Briarcliffe came in. It was a strange, small asylum in the town of Willow Springs that specialized specifically in these cases. True, it was odd to specialize in something so obscure, but that's why it was so small. It also had a track record of curing patients completely and letting them rejoin society. This was far from the truth, but what really went on there remained to be seen. In truth, though, the owner, director, and seemingly only doctor of the hospital of the hospital besides one other, was a vicious snake, with an ulterior motive no one could really figure out, but for the patients currently in her care it was certain that she was not as she seemed to the public. She is at the same time, strict and lenient. Kind and vicious. Some think that she does dealings with a mysterious man that lives close to the asylum, and that their relationship seems strained and that there may have been a past history between them, but they still associate as though they are forced to.

The patients end up at Briarcliffe in various ways, and none of them seem reputable. It is said that the director has got her hands in many pockets, or rather they have theirs in hers, and any therapist who may have been confided in send these patients to Briarcliffe. Any overheard conversations between friends, revealing hidden secrets, may cause mysterious men in white or police to show up at one's door and escort them to the asylum.

Though the most mysterious patients come from the three of them that aren't quite sure what they are. With mysterious pasts and unexplained powers, who aren't really sure where they fit in the world. Two brothers, the same in the way that they have a deep darkness in them that they don't quite understand, and yet another innocent that spoke out in fear and found himself locked away. It brings about an event that rarely happens even at Briarcliffe, but at the same time not unwelcome.

And even in such a dark place love can be found, and romance blooms even in the darkest, dustiest corners of the hearts of the patients. But little do they know, it's just what the doctor ordered.
