What do you want from a new Package Editor?

Hi, I am currently working on a new Package Editor and want some opinions.

The biggest selling point of this new Package Editor is going to be Ease of Use and Mac Support.
In the spirit of Ease of Use the tool will feature the same layout as s4pe, but presented in a cleaner way. I am now looking for suggestions and ideas for what would make such a tool better and more useful for new moddars and experienced modders alike.

Incomplete list of planned features:
Powerful filtering by file type, names etc.
Built in hex and text editor
Specialised editors for binary files
String table editor
Image viewing and exporting

So again, please post suggestions. They can be small details or larger features, I want to know what you want.
Played since The Sims 1 and now makes mods for The Sims 4:
Gender Less - Gender neutral pronouns and titles
Hidden Highlight - Removes the white outline
Unlocked CAS Parts - Unlocks hidden CAS items

I remember thinking when I used s3pe it would be nice to have a Search feature maybe with a drop down menu with the various headers; Type, Group, Instance, ect. I don't know if that would be useful to anyone else, I just remember trying to find one particular resource to edit in s3pe and that would have been handy.

It is interesting that you mentioned that, because Inge mentioned to me earlier that it was a feature many users didn't understand in s3pe. It has actually been there all along it is in the lower panel of the window.

I have actually implemented this functionality today, and it should be much more strait-forward then in s3pe. You can search/filter out multiple types, groups and instances, you can write the original names (so you can write "simdata" to get all simdata files) and the results are instantaneous. I am very happy with how it turned out and hope people will find it useful.

Should make sure you also *label* it "Search" (or stick a search icon on it) .. I believe that is the main problem with the s3pe/s4pe one.

A package editor which reads every single resource type in the game would be useful, regardless of what the GUI looks like, or ease of Search or anything else. Just let me examine everything, this is all I ask.

The ability to add CC to the game without an unzipping program. The unzipping program I had on my computer caused a virus
