Invisible Counters Please!

Hi everybody! You know what else would be great to have for our game? An invisible counter that you can place over a dresser, end table, coffee table etc, and it allows you to use that object for something other than what it was meant for. For example. In Sims 3, I would place it over a dresser and then I would be able to place a functioning kitchen or bathroom sink on top of it, and it would work as a sink just fine, but I would get the look of a fancy dresser in my bathroom. Does anyone one know what I mean? I believe I got the counter at MTS3. Would it be possible please to make one for Sims 4 that would work the same way? I don't know if this would be considered an object, or if it's a mod that we need. I'm pretty sure it's an object. But which ever one it is, thank you very much!
