But seriously... what the "plum" is up with the breakage rate in this game?? This all happened around the same time -.-
Maybe if your Sim did a little housecleaning, then things wouldn't break so often?
Look at that sink and toilet! Filthy....
I'm messing with you, lol.
I installed the mod because nothing ever breaks in my game UNTIL I have my Sim gain the handiness skill at the woodworking table (because nothing breaks to gain that skill) and start to upgrade things. It's only when things are fully upgraded that they start breaking with every single use.
The most recent example is the unbreakable gaming pad my Sim earned when she reached level 10 of the Tech Guru career. It broke twice. When she had the cheaper one? It never broke!

For real though, I kinda regret not wasting one of my 3 precious slots on the "neat" trait. I feel like she never has time/she's always cranky about it. *eyeroll*

Save up the money and get the most expensive toilet (that actually never breaks on me) and the most expensive bathroom sink (it rarely breaks). Don't waste your time/money/effort on the kitchen sink, they always break on me regardless of cost and upgrade level. Also, I have the most expensive shower and that 10K tub.....they never break on me.
I just have my Sim paint, hack, make viruses, and do all sorts of odd things around the house in between working to get the money to upgrade to the nicer things. I already cheat them into expensive "shells" of houses so I make them work to get the nice things to fill that house.
I usually just call the repair man... but you can't anymore
Looks like is back to 'sell the object and buy a new one' which eliminates the point of the repairman anyway. Well done, EA, you have an excuse to cut NPCs because there is a work around.
Anyways , OP, i think you should make a ridiculously hot Sim guy , move him to a little starter lot , have him get his handiness skill high , and then move him in ith your Sim.
There is a mod on modthesims.com that changes it from 65% chance of breaking to like 30% or you can get it lower.
Hmmmmmmm. HMMMMMMM. Hmm. Yes, might have to invest in this free service. If it gets rid of one of the few things that's constantly irking me in the game right now.... I'll take it! Viruses/crashes be "plum"d!

Hey, her house is clean and her stereo doubled in size. At least, she's survived the latest bout of "everything break at once-itis".
This!
That!

These!
Sims 4 Team: QUICK jack up the breakage rate so they have something to do. Bring some depth and emotion to the game.

I was severely irked that I couldn't put a painting or other decoration of some sort above the stereo - solution? Break physics.
