Can't build or replace libraries? Help? And question about parks...

I posted this in the GD section but thought a builder might know the answer.....

I know we can't delete the parks because we can't rebuild the ponds. However, we can't replace them either? I did some modifications to the Oasis Springs one and rather than constantly redo those modifications, I saved it to my tray. Started a new game, replaced the existing park with the one in my bin. The pond had vanished. The pond did not save.

The library, I wanted to make my own. So I demolished the existing one and cannot find the "library bookcase" to rebuild the lot. Where are they? They look like the intellect cases (I think that is the name) but they don't function the same. The same thing happens if you save the existing library to the bin and then replace it. The library bookcases vanish.

I tried cloning the bookshelves but it wouldn't let me. These bookshelves are not listed anywhere in the storage section.

So, we can't build our own libraries because we are not allowed access to these shelves?

I built a library and just used any bookcases I liked, it accepted them. I've also deleted the park completely, my town was completely empty!

But, were you able to get the library shelves back? These allow your Sim to read skill books without having to purchase them.

Were you able to get the pond back? There are fish that can only be caught in those ponds.
