Roofing Help, please!

I'm stuck on getting my roofing to work properly instead having corners each side of my roof just goes straight and overlaps one another instead of joining into a corner, could someone give me some tips to fix this please.

I have a similar issue with dormers I built. The ends of the roof extend past the wall so instead of matching up with the wall they overlap and appear inside the bedroom. If I shorten the width then I end up missing a section of roof. I think it's the same issue just on a straight edge instead of a corner.

I find roofing the hardest part of building, especially when adding on to an existing house.

I'm not sure if this pertains here, but if you look carefully when you have a roof selected, you will see small white arrows at the corners. You can grab one of those arrows and reduce the overhang to be even with the wall. Hope this helps!
