what does template already exists in library mean?

i went to save oakenstead so i can view a house on that lot and when i went to save it to library i received message that a template already exists in my library and did i want to write over it save new or cancel? yet when i looked in my library i did not see this house there.

    Hmm that's weird. I'll bump so maybe others have the same issue.

    The same thing happened to me. My guess is, since that house came with the game, it's already in the library (not your Gallery library). I always overwrite mine

    Yeah This is annoying - I am always having to "resave" my sims even though I have them already saved in my library. Its just not intuitive and means I ahve to go around deleted dupes.

    Yeah, seems to give that message when things are in our game folder, but it doesn't mean those things show up in our Library. I've used Save As for anything I want to be able to get again if I don't see it in My Library, and that includes the game's base houses that I think I might want to use elsewhere. I wish I didn't have to do that, as I'm sure it will cause lag at some point :(
