    While I wasn't playing my sim he went and got himself TWO girlfriends/romantic interests in addition to his wife!

      He really likes his women muscular. I know a guy like that in real life. He absolutely loves overly muscular girls and tells me I should start out on an extreme workout and I'm just like, "Ew, gross!"

      While there isn't Story Progression, Sims do still interact spontaneously, so while they don't get jobs or have babies they will still flirt with each other even when you're not playing them, especially if they have certain traits (Romantic). Something to keep in mind if you're doing rotational play. One benefit I've found of having townies that don't work is that there are always lots of Sims around to meet and chat with -- I had to do 20 Funny interactions for my next Aspiration level and just sending my Sim to the park during the day to chat up folks did the trick.
