as of now I think game will do ok, and hopefully they will add things back in the short term, for the long term i hope they put more into the expansion packs instead of rushing them through like the game.
I think it's alright. A few things I like, and others things I'm sort of annoyed with, but eh. I'm currently undecided about buying the game..was going to preorder, but I think i'll wait for now (for other reasons besides the game itself).
1) I don't feel ready for it..it doesn't seem to fit my gameplay yet. 2) I think it's best that I spend the money for someone special in my heart
I hope it does well, and in the same thought, I really hope it works on improving what it lacks within patches and expansions for others who really want to convert but like me aren't sure if it's the game is for them yet. I still have high hopes for the game and wishes it well, I'll eventually buy it, but for now i'll just wait.
What I've seen of the game so far, it looks amazing. Emotions seem to give Sims more depth. And the tools for designing homes look pretty incredible. However, I am not going to buy the game until they have toddlers and family trees.
I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I am sure I will spend hours this week immersed like I was whenSims 3 came out. I love the graphics and I love the new emotions and interactions. Sims 3 sims were boring (at least mine were). Even on free will they were not spontaneous enough for me. From the live broadcasts that looks to have totally changed.
I admit at first I was upset about its closed world instead of TS3's seamless neighborhood, but at the same time, I can see why they closed it back up again.
It may just allow for our lots to not be rabbitholes and they can be more full of life and things to do in the game. So I am looking forward to it.
It's a new serious so I am just overally excited to move forward.
Life is full as long as you got loved ones, pets, hugs, kisses, and exploration, even if it is little exploration.
The game is a rushed, watered down mess and I don't see why they charge 70$ for it. I'll admit, I would have payed 70$ to get TS2 back, and even TS3. But TS4, no, just no.
I'm not interested in it. I think they added some nice components. Some aspects are some I'm very interested in.
However, this game seems lazy and half baked. I would have gladly waited another year or more if need be to get a complete 100% finished game.
I'm going to assume it's bad on a epic level. They seriously couldn't have removed anymore content while still having a functioning program. If you disagree then you haven't looked into it enough. All service sims removed (firemen, maids...), no paranormal (aliens, ghosts), no toddlers, pools, swimming of any kind, (no swim suits) no terrain tools, only two customizable lots....it just keeps going! Also, for every piece of removed content logic leads you to multiple others. No firefighters? No fires. No baby sitters? Babies can't leave their cribs....so....maybe babies just fend for themselves now? Frankly, this is insane. Almost comical. I'm not psychic, but I bet this is a beautiful disaster. The current tally of content that traditionally came as base game content is over 100. New content....emotions? I seriously can't believe how bad this looks. Either way it's a PR disaster....but more likely an all around disaster.
Holy poop! It's not mandatory online.....unless you want to download the "free" updates that add the rest of the content! Clever.
What's the deal with the creepy Sim in the yellow shirt, and glasses? The one right up there! I'm guessing what ever he is it starts with "serial".
All jokes aside, I'm psyched. ;p I think it's a great base to lay foundation on. I know I may get a hella lot of disagrees, but I do believe it'll be the best Sims game to date... once it's been patched and the EPs start rolling out.

I'll sell you my copy of TS2 for $70.

I want people who care to start making this game again.
