Black Screen Llama Bug

I was wondering if there have been any fixes for this outside of reinstalling Origin (which didn't work for me because mine is properly installed).

For those unfamiliar, a lot of people have been experiencing a black screen after the initial loading video that prevents the game from continuing to load. If you right click in the abyss, you'll see a floating llama head. It'd almost be funny if it weren't terribly unfunny. A common fix is reinstalling Origin, but there are still very many people who have tried that and had no success in getting the demo to launch.
