    Vampire! Vampire! (Or something, check this screenshot)

    Wow! Or something; I saw this at the play-trough video, and I can't help but think: Does this joke-option combined with the pale skin of this chess-player indicate vampires in the game? Or have there already been confirmed some other form of special characters?

    I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I didn't find any discussion when I searched. (If so; No, I don't want to hear how much an idiot you think I am for not finding it)

      There was some speculation in another thread that maybe he had the option to talk about vampires because of his "geek" trait, or that possibly it was connected with some other trait.

      Ahh, that sounds plausible. Because if it has to do with his skin-tone, that could open up an all different can of worms I quess :-)

      Do you know ANY reliable rumors about aliens or what not?

      Do you know ANY reliable rumors about aliens or what not?

      I've seen multiple confirmations that there will be no supernatural creatures in the base game (but I don't have the links handy). I haven't read anything about aliens/alien abduction.

      oh, that was actually a bummer :-( I don't care about toddlers and load screens, but supernaturals would have been nice. Well well, I'm still super excited, but now; also a little sad.

      I'm sure we'll eventually have supernaturals. However I think the joke popped up because of the really really pale skin on the guy.

      If aliens are included in supernatural creatures, we had them in TS2 base game.

      Aliens don't fit my definition of supernatural, which is why I mentioned them separately. I'm not really sure if EA lumps them with vampires, werewolves, etc., under the word "supernatural," or not. I haven't seen any mention of aliens in any of my readings, one way or the other. Just the category, "supernaturals."

      Except aliens in the sims 2 had no powers at all. They just had green skin and huge black eyes.

      Aliens wouldn't be really classified as occult either because if it had a baby with a human it would be a hybrid. But if a fairy had a baby with a human (fairies are occult) then it would be one or the other.

      Nope, that's not the case. In Sims 2 it was aliens, in Sims 3 it was ghosts in the Basegame.

      There were ghosts in the TS2 base game as well. I guess I wasn't thinking about them because in TS2 you couldn't really DO anything with them the way you could in TS3. When I think about the supernatural creatures introduced into later games, I think of vampires, werewolves, zombies, and fairies (TS3 only).

      Yeah, I didn't care for the ghost in the Sims3 Basegame either. Never played them. I've played aliens A LOT in the Sims 2, and the plant-people. In The Sims3 I've only played witches.
