The Whole Shebang Legacy Challenge

The Whole Shebang Legacy Challenge

Background
With the pending release of Sims 4, some Sims 3 fans are feeling impatient while others are lamenting, “But I haven’t explored all of Sims 3 yet!” The Whole Shebang Challenge is meant to challenge Simmers to play all aspects of the game, including every official world, trait, career, profession, lifetime wish, and so on. For those of you who have purchased most—if not all—of the EPs, Worlds, and Premium content, this is your chance to get your money’s worth. It’s time to play all those imagined characters you haven’t gotten around to: farmer, zombie hunter, casanova, rock star, survivalist, hero, mental case, fairy queen, . . . the possibilities are nearly endless. The Whole Shebang should keep you busy for awhile as we await the release of Sims 4.

Starting Out
Start in the neighborhood of your choice, and create a young adult Sim of your choice. You may give them any traits and lifetime wish, and you may move them onto any property in the neighborhood that is affordable. You may NOT use money cheats or move them in with another existing household.

The Goals
The goals are to:
play every official world you have available, including those that came in EPs and downloadable worlds (if you don’t have all the official worlds and can’t afford them, feel free to substitute with free community created worlds for maximum point opportunities)
use all traits available in the base game and EPs
have a Sim reach the top of all careers, professions, or self-employment opportunities
experience all types of death (this is based entirely on luck)

Scoring
A score sheet & tracker in a PDF file is provided here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7FE7ZRabURqVlZLWGQtTDZDbkk/edit?usp=sharing

Simply check off each world, trait, career, lifetime wish, and type of death as each is accomplished. Each check earns 1 point. You can only earn 1 point for each aspect of the game (in other words, you can’t score 2 points for 2 different Sims that have the same trait).

Note that if you have all EPs and downloadable store content, you will need 86 or more Sims in your Legacy family to complete everything. That’s because the Lifetime Wishes will determine the number of Sims you need (unless you have one Sim to complete more than one lifetime wish—congrats if you do!). In the challenge (with all EPs and downloadable store content), the approximate number of points for the categories are:
    18 Worlds
    99 Traits
70+ Careers, Professions, and Income Opportunities
    86 Lifetime Wishes
    22 ways to die

The Rules
Moving Between Worlds
You may not move your Legacy family to a new World until at least one Sim in your family was born, was raised, and died in the World you are moving from.
You only need to move one member of your Legacy family to the new World, but you may move them all if you want.
You may use any neighborhood moving method you choose, and can take household furnishings and inventory.
You may NOT move the house (structure) to a new World neighborhood.

Cheats
You may use any career and reward items you choose, so long as they are official objects/plants/elixirs, etc. from the game, EPs, and official EA store.
You may not use any Shift+CTRL+C cheat that gives you an advantage in the game.

General Rule
With the exceptions noted above, anything goes! The idea is to experience all aspects of gameplay. Have fun!
