As many people, I had a problem with my game crashing for the last couple of weeks if not months.
Last week I found that bypassing my launcher fixed the problem, so that was fun... until now.
My game just crashed a few minutes ago. I think it happens when I spend too much time in World View (?)
Anyway. I know the standard procedure here is to copy-paste our dxdiag, but I know my system is up to specs.
More importantly, I'm wondering why we don't post our error logs instead.
I'm no techie, so I don't know. But here is my last one, just in case someone can decipher anything from it.
Notice it mentions one of my video card's dll. It mentions it in every crash log I have.
Could this dll be causing my game to crash?

you see if the crash analyzer is helpful
http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=416883
but i would also review the crash checklist for further help
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Crashing_Checklist
oh i forgot to add- ignore the OS vista - i think that is just a reference to the fact that the game was written with that OS
So I guess my few latest crashes were caused by CC.
But something's weird : the crash analyzer is warning me that I have updates available. I'm patched to 1.67
(missing updates for World Adventure, High End Loft, Ambitions and Late Night)
I may have missed a few patches before 1.67 ... I think I skipped 1.66 because I wanted to read feedback first.
By the time I wanted to patch, it was already time for 1.67, so I may have missed 1.66.
But I'm missing a lot more apparently. I thought patches were incremental?
The patches I'm missing for these eps are really old ones. Strange.
- World Adventure patch 2.17.2.011037
- High End Loft patch 3.13.1.011037
- Ambitions patch 4.10.1.011037
- Late Night patch 6.5.1

this can cause crashing so check MTS there are patches for older EPs and stuff you can add - sorry im not allowed to link
also i forgot you were an AMD processor! do you overclock? when the game isnt crashing how is your lag?
im always trying to pick an AMD processor player mind but i find most arent forth coming i myself play with amd card love love love them
I've been playing on AMD since the early 90s. It's the only brand I've ever owned.
I guess I could say my previous AMD mobo was sturdy...
I don't know if you remember, but I posted a while ago about a damaged video card. I had just bought it and was trying to install it, and my hearth sank when I found a capacitor on the floor. I was sure I had lost more than 300$ because the warranty would've been null. But after further inspection I found that it fell from the mobo.
Now I'm not sure, but I think I had been playing for a few months or years with a damaged motherboard (at the time my PC was always running incredibly hot). I bought a new mobo (same model) and my system has been running super cool since then.
As for the lag, there's room for improvement even with a 760GTX.
I couldn't tell you my FPS because I never bothered to use a widget to display my rate, but it's not 60 fps that's for sure.
I did notice a vast improvement from my 450GTX in texture and thumbnail loading times. And yeah, maybe in fps also.
I remember the game was lagging when my sim was driving his car in town.
Now it's almost a perfectly smooth and uninterrupted ride.
I think I could reach 60 fps with a better processor. The FX-4100 is already old.
But I'm contemplating the idea of purchasing a whole new system this year.
