    Issues with Make Me an Offer and Simpoint Ads

    RANT ALERT:

    EA, can you PLEASE do something about these Make Me an Offer things? They’re highly annoying; At least 4 out of 5 times they’ll offer me a WORLD (often Lucky Palms, like FIVE TIMES THIS WEEK ALREADY, DANG!), and maybe 2 or 3 other items, always at some bogus 4/5000SP price.

    Hello, Earth to EA: I ALREADY OWN LUCKY PALMS! :evil:

    I’ve got all the worlds but Roaring Heights—at least offer me THAT one! Or implement CYS or something into the MOs so that the price properly reflects the fact that the greatest chunk of the offer is actually comprised of something that money’s already been SPENT on. Or don’t offer the Worlds/Venues/Sets in MOs at ALL.

    I haven’t been able to take advantage of the MOs YET—whenever they DON’T offer a world in the bundle they’re offering me some old frikkin set I already own a bunch of separate objects or clothes from, or some other atrocity I have no interest in.
    ANNOYING! At least offer me things from my actual WISHLIST? Things I’m actually INTERESTED in having? :roll:

    I can’t even.

    Also, ever since whatever system maintenance happened that enabled/fixed the simpoint ads to show globally, I have YET to see the ads show back up, even on my Launcher. This is bananas. I’ve cleared caches, opened/logged in/hooped and circled, and I just don’t see the button anymore at ALL. Is it just me? :?

    I need a soda; I'm way too on edge lately.

      Hi murfeel take a deep breath and count backwards from 9 you are getting sleeeepy.Hehe joke,Hey I was just like you I couldnt get the ads either so I got firefox browser after testing google chrome,and IE and 4 others but as soon as I got firefox have seen them since so try it and its no gamble just delete the browser if doesnt work for ya.PS earlier I was going to try hypnotizing you into thinking you were a pink chipmunk but decided to let you have a chipmunk free day. :mrgreen:

      Yeah, I use Firefox (after IE9 nearly imploded on me), and it's just not showing up. I'm shocked that not even the Launcher shows it anymore--it used to at least spam me with the button so that when I clicked it it would open up the Store page (using IE9), with the button nowhere in sight. Now I don't even have that wild goose chase to look forward to anymore. :P :lol:

      Last option try google chrome.Heck I Have firefox,IE and Chrome currently just to make sure I get my ads plus its based on store amount owned so it adds up everyday,I think I get maybe like a dollar 50 cents a day worth or 150 sp.Will join you in your rant. :twisted: Ahhhhhhh!!!! No more Lame MMAOs no more Missing ads.Down with dolphins that wear flip flops we are sick of donkeys drinking out of our milk cartons while we try to watch spongebob.There hope I cheered you up and helped somehow try Google Chrome as my last idea.

      I have only been able to see the ads using Opera - they show up semi-reliably for me now. Clearing the cache on that each time I log out just to sure.

      I never got ads for the whole time they were offering them until the first of March -- then suddenly -- ads! I was so excited, and it probably played heavily into my stalking of the March Daily Deals and buying way more than the ads covered, for sure. Now, I'm back to never being offered ads. It was fun while it lasted. Really fun.

      I also stopped getting the ads after they switched to world wide. Actually for the first week I did manage 1 single ad ever other day, for a total of 3 ads in one week, but after that nothing. No ads at all are showing up no matter what I do.

      I have pretty much given up on them, but perhaps my information might help if someone with any power should see this thread and attempt to look into the problem, so here are the things I have tried:

      I have tried 4 different browsers: IE, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome, none of these fixed the problem.

      I have tried updating flash, updating java, clearing my cache, and resetting the browsers. None of this fixed the problem.

      I don't use adblocking software, and have allowed popups for the simstore website, but that has not fixed the problem.

      With the old ads I saw them fairly regularly, except for periods right after maintenance when they would disappear for a bit, and there were a few periods where I could see ads when logged out, but they would vanish when logged in. Now they don't show up at all no matter if I'm logged out or logged in.

      As for MMAO - I have totally thrown in the towel when it comes to that. It would be nice if they would update it, but at this point I don't expect much from MMAO.

      I always get offered Lucky Palms in MMAO, too. It's always paired with the exclusive items as well. I'm not about to spend 4000 points on a world I already own just for some items that I can most certainly live without.

      I get offered Lucky Palms and the Regency Arcade frequently. Today I got the Regency Arcade in two MMAO. I own it and I own Lucky Palms!

      I got the ad three times today but noticed that now I am only 5 simpoints per ad.

      The MMAO always offers me silly things like hair and clothing. I don't use any of that content from the store, it's always 3rd party. I wish they'd offer me a world.

      I've never even seen an ad EVER on the site. I hear people talking about them and getting free point. I guess I'm glad that gaming is my hobby so I just buy points all the time. Then again, maybe that's why I never see any ads. ****. I just entered Twilight Zone territory. :lol:

      I'm able to see only last week after long months this sponsor adds (living in Italy) and sometimes (not each time) I'll receive 5 simpoints for one adds. I'm using Google Chrome.
      I'm having now problems with script messages while opening launcher, the same as listed here http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/745557.page#11878995 "http://be.sponsorpay.com/assets/web_client.js" about not supporting this scripts and images on my uploads aren't showing up (game is fully patched).
      Store is offering to me too - when I'm opening casual set store-page via "Reccomend to you" at bottom of the page items which I'm already owning: Elder hairs (I'm owning complete version), Keep me clean outdoor shower (Part of already owned Sunlit Tides Gold).

      Sorry for editing my comments frequently, in most cases I'm doing this due language issues (english isn't my native language, but I'm using english, because most used by people, with who I want to communicate).

      Yes, I'm owning this too: casino and standard world separatelly and this continue offer me still LP Gold for full price 4,350 SimPoints. :evil:
      Mine hair is becoming gray as this for me offered Long Wavy Hair or this Spiky and Suave (both owned in full adult version) and I'm happy that on store set pages is "Recommended For You:" advertising for Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower, which I'm already owning in Sunlit Tides Gold - I'll take shower cold for keep it all con calm. :twisted:
      (With images it seems solved [my previous message], there was another Origin update).
      Edit: LP Gold have had "discount price" for me via MMAO (I was just curious) for something more than 3'300 SP. As I have purchased all included content, it isn't big deal.
