How do I stop this?

I recently got generations and When I kept my sim home from school becuase she was sick her Davey (A NPC babysitter I captured to make him help my feamle sim and the six kids.) scolded her anyway. How do I fix this?

You can probably try to get the kid to do some chores around the house to prevent them from being grounded for the next few days.

If they get grounded they have to stay home from school and get into trouble for not going to school. Then some of them start sneaking and they get that ghastly sneaking walk that they never seem to get rid of even when they become adults.

This part of the game doesn't seem to work too well.

I've found the best way to avoid it is to not have children in the household. I don't know of any other way to be sure this sort of thing won't happen.

Just have the adult that scolded them interact and let them off the hook.
