This is my first post on the forums about this. I can't believe the size of this thread I've barely read any of it. Keeping up via SimsVIP while graduate school seemingly ends my Simming days.

This world is exactly the byproduct of our suggestions from my "City World" thread earlier this year.

Store team: I absolutely LOVE it. It's exactly what I visualized. I actually love the art deco spin the 30's vibe!. The roller coaster is mind blowing.

You all out did yourselves, truly love what I see. Absolutely 100%. Excellent work.

I just pray you all considered a good amount of empty lots near or in the city area. It looks like you all may have, but hard to tell from these screens! Some of the LN buildings will like very nice with this style, specifically the older vibe ones.

I'm so excited for this world, I can't even tell you.

The last 3 times I played the Sims when I actually had a couple hours to do so (Sims can't be played for an hour, impossible. lol) something stupid happened where I couldn't save. I have barely played my game in months and it's so sad. Imagine my excitement that my dream world came to realization AND it comes out the day before I'm done with all class requirements, will have my life back and can sim! HAHA! YES! And this is my reward. So excited SOOOOOO EXCITED. This world gives me EVERYTHING I need... (with the exception of the PC car, it's adorable but not that excited but who cares because everything else is beyond my expectations - I only say this because I've always hated the cars in Sims 3... now that it's over is not the time to bring back the "real deal cars" but nonetheless great work guys!)

I have about 5 sets I have to get from the store - and this will be the first on my list! Even before MH & Toy Store! LOL

I friggin' love all of you so much right now. And sad smitty's gone!

(However I'm hoping a store patch is coming from some broken things )

Maybe they revamped the Military Base. That's the only thing I recall that had a runway.

The runway with hangar is the one from Sunset Valley and Twinbrook but re-colored.

Is the runway with the hangar necessary for the military RH? Because it looks like to me a nice piece of coastal property ripe for developing.

I don't know why but the military always has some very nice property for their bases.

I live near Camp Pendleton, the largest marine base in the U.S., and it has over 122,000 acres of prime beach coast property right smack between Orange County/LA and San Diego County. And then the U.S. Navy owns half of Coronado Island, a gorgeous travel destination in San Diego. Coronado Beach claims to be the best white sand beach in the entire U.S.

And don't forget Pearl Harbor in Hawaii for the U.S. Navy.

Of course, in real life, these military bases are necessary and I'm glad they are there. But, in the Sims 3? That land is MINE!

cheers ceejay i love gnomes i finally got a frezer bunny gnome from the dog barking at the fridge..it would be awesome if we did get gnomes with store worlds (just wishfull thinking on my part ) for the roller coaster one a gnome in a cart who can raise his arms in the air

I am in love with that city map. Perfect! One week, and counting.

Now, what I want to know is empty lot sizes. I have to figure out which highrise apartment from LN I need to redecorate for my 1920's simmie. I have all the sets to make a perfect art deco apartment. Sooooo, what are the lot sizes we have to choose from, close enough to the city that a LN highrise apartment will fit in nicely?

I'm assuming the camera can follow our Sims on coasters like it does in a car I'm hoping anyway based off pictures but they might have paused and used cameraman.

I've been thinking two things.

1. I wish we could get more gnomes from the store

2. I should revive the Mysterious Mr Gnome thread.

It would be really excellent if we got a roller coaster gnome. Shame it isn't going to happen.

I think it's there so we can get that early 1900's wartime feel, romantic embraces on the runway type thing. Think of Pearl Harbour!



Mistletoe143, I believe you will be able to delete it in the in-game world editor. I deleted the SV ones that way. I assume you could then use the land and water (since there are roads there it is likely to be routable).

Oh, I love that thread! Those gnomes are so funny! I hope we get them in TS4!

If we get more gnomes I'd like them to be sellable with savvy sellers, because most of them aren't. I need gnomes for my garden centre!

I had a look at a Late Night apartment building. I added it to a lot in two different worlds. One was Bridge Port. I found a white box instead of a front door. It said something about a missing object. I did some Googling and found I'm missing the Door to R?'s Heard. Can't quite remember the name. I looked in buydebug but it is not there. I tried putting other doors there instead but they didn't work. So it looks like I can't do the Late Night apartments.

I'll have another look at it on the weekend.

I still haven't managed to get all the gnomes we already have in the game. But I do keep on trying. And I wouldn't say no to more of them.

That's strange! I'm sure when I put them down the door appears automatically. I thought the doors were there somewhere but I'm not sure. I know they randomly appear in Create A World! Because you need a door in the middle of your field. :XD:
