Glass or transparent surfaces

One of my favorites in Sims 2 was the glass floor an wall patterns created by one of the modders (Was it Argyle?)
It was great to build glass bridge over a lake or the pool, a second floor from which you had a clear view down stairs, a study from which you have a full vista of the yard.
Any possiblity that someone can make a "transparent pattern" for wallpaper and floor? Is it too complicated?
