Simfest~ Help...?

So my sim lives in appaloosa plains and I took some of the venues from the showtime map and put them in appaloosa.. & naturally it comes up with, 'A simfest is starting at performance park' later on in the game... Well my singer sim goes down and enters and competes.. When she wins she goes onto the stage to accept whatever the award is and she and the proprietor just stand there... For hours on end. The crowd just cheering...
I've never won a simfest before aside from when it does this but.. I'm pretty sure it is not supposed to do that.. so, how do I fix it?

A solution is to compete and then just leave. If you win, they'll send you the award in the mail. Hopefully it gets fixed someday. x)
