Saved Sims Folder

I had to regenerate a new ea game folder cause the registry in my old one had become corrupted. And i have just installed island paradise if all i want from my old game is the sims in my cas bin then is all i have to do is replace the new savedsims folder with the old one? I am going to redownload all my downloads and mods since i didnt use half of them.

if your question is can i move saved material from the old files to the new, yes just test to confirm those files are corrupted.
