Since I was curious about the blogging skill, I got both of my sims to start writing posts. I wanted to see which one would do better... but I digress.
Unfortunately, my wannabe writers seem to only know how to lose followers. Hoping to get better results, I looked up different University Life guides (Carl's guide, Simsvip, DivaOfDarkness's thread...) and I think I'm finally beginning to get a general idea of how blogging works in-game, however there is one thing that puzzles me...
Whenever something big happens and my sims get the "blog about" option, they gain followers yet when I make them write non-generic posts, the results are quite opposite. I mean, sure, it could simply be that they (and, by extension, I) are terrible writers :P But I wish that posting picture or something other than the prefabricated sentences could generate interest... Or is posting only when the "gotta blog about" moodlet appears the thing that gets more followers?

The more your Sims blogs, the better s/he will get at it.
