so if I want to make a hil to build on... and the walk out basment is on the levl of the street... I build the hill 9 clicks high? then ad my foundation?
Yes, I think that's right, if you're using a regular height foundation at the other side.
Hi GC -- wow! Another great tutorial. And I have just the house I want to use it on. A replica on my own! The roofline is complicated and this may just be the fix I need to make it look like home.

I tried some more... then used some tricks from teryns zoo U course... and I got it...
well half a step from or so... so I CFE'ed it so it fitted the extension it was to fit... that needed plain land in the entranc...
I just wasn't gentel enough as you say...
thank you
I plan on starting a wip thread soon to get tips... and feed back... I almost got the walls up... and I have used about 1/8 of the budgedt.... hmm
I hope it becomes great.. the new mansion stair (L shaped) are comming in 2 days... I'm going to use that as kitchen stair to the old basment kitchen, and likely other places.
this is spose to be an old mansion sitting on the banks of the lake in HS remodel so it got an moderen kitchen on the groundfloor (where the use to be a room to wait for the dinning room to be opened.
then I put the jamstation and other rustick kitchen apliances in the old kitchen downstairs....
I CFE'd an L shaped stair case last night (before I saw your post) for a loft. I do wish I would have rethought my placement, but I didn't want it against the wall, but I wish I would have had the top stairs run perpendicular to the length of my house and the bottom running parallel. But, eh. They look good, so why mess with it. LOL
Bring the tiles shown highlighted below up to full height.
It should now look something like this.
I levelled the level above to fix that weird wall. I also realised I deleted the wall by the landing by mistake at some point so I've replaced that.
Oh my goodness, Sherry, I'm laughing so hard right now! It's one of those laughing fits that comes in waves, and you think it's over but then it's not. You must have been SO confused when you started reading that post

I had tried split leveling before but never used it to create L shaped stairs..
I am a bit confused about at what level we used the walls around red area? When you reach the top floor or around the where the first part of stairs ?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by this
Sorry about my bad english    ow embrassing!
What i tried to say is: are "the walls(like many small boxes) around red area" only at the floor we see below(upper floor) or do we also have this many boxy walls at below level too(the floor where the first part of of stairs(blue area) ?
Is it more clear now or did i messed it up more?  I am thinking too complex sometimes, and lost in my mind! >.<

and down stars maybe the friged and some kitchen furniture deco cabinets....

Yes, those are great uses for them
Here's how I eventually decorated the downstairs of the house I created for the tutorial. I've used the dead space to place bookshelves, nectar racks, and a decorative bathroom closet.
I haven't ever tried placing those kind of objects where the floor (as opposed to the ceiling) is slanted, but you could definitely try it

thanks
I love your tutorials!
Fantastic!! Good luck with your house
