A resort for EVERY town?!

For those of you who are like me and half (or all!) of your playing time is spent building I'm sure you have thought about the possibility of putting at least one resort in each town.

As for the types I'm sure some towns will be easier to assign a "type" of resort while others may be a little more difficult. That's why I want to put together a list and get ideas from other simmers as well as inspiration pics if you have them ;)

The list will include store worlds as well, so here it goes! (In no particular order..)

Sunset Valley (Beach Tower)
Riverview (??)
Twinbrook (??)
Barnacle Bay (Beach Small)
Bridgeport (Modern)
Hidden Springs (Modern)
Appaloosa Plains (??)
Lunar Lakes (Modern/??)
Starlight Shores (Spanish/Modern)
Lucky Palms (Spanish/Modern)
Moonlight Falls (??)
Sunlit Tides (Beach Tower/Small Beach)
Monte Vista (??)
Aurora Skies (Modern)
Dragon Valley (??)

So any ideas to add to the ?? or even to ones that already have at least one. Remember the RH styles are Small Beach, Beach Tower, Spanish, and Modern.

I'm going to put the resort tower in the basement of a building shell to make a mountain themed resort -- the VIP rooms will be mini cabins with rustic furniture and fireplaces. (I wish they'd enable the mini-fridge from Uni Life and the microwaves for use in the resort rooms; a lot of hotel rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves these days for people who want to heat up a snack.) It's also going to be a family friendly resort, with lots of family activities like basketball and Gnubb, arcade and playground for the kids (maybe their own pool?) and then an adults only area with hot tubs and casino. If I can figure out how to set up the Barrier to Entry System I should be able to make it work. 8)

Well, the walkthrough said Grahm placed a resort tower, so I'm assuming that's how you designate a lot as a resort. It looked like that was the first three rooms of the first floor, so I would expect that to be in build/buy mode thus, available in any world.
Life is what you make it so, make it good.

I like the mountain resort idea too.. in fact I sort of built one for HS but I don't know if I'll want to make a new one once the EP is released! Another idea I had was a Dude Ranch type thing. It would be nice to have a place people could go horseback riding and such without having to own a horse!

I'd say modern for Lucky Palms and starlight shores as well as Spanish... in fact I built a modern resort for LP, it's a base camp now but I plan to change it to a hotel when I have IP :P

Riverview, Twinbrook and Moonlight Falls I'd actually say just a small B&B.

    AP some kind of ranch

Monte Vista and Dragon Valley are the only other ones I'm not sure about.

Monte vista should have a gorgeous Italian style resort, complete with an open floorplan, courtyard, FULL kitchen for the owner/chef to delight his guests and serve them...oh! And a sauna. :D

I feel like Lucky Palms should be adobe style, it's in the desert, so yeah adobe brick would look nice! I agree. that Appaloosa should be a ranch style resort. Also with the 3 small bed and breakfasts. Those would fit in beautifully! :D

Well once I get DV I'll make a small little port/dock for "ships" (lol boats and such) but no resorts since I'm trying to keep it with a medieval theme lol

As for let's say Isla Paradiso It'd give it the beach tower, Sunset Valley would be small beach tower, I think I can give Moonlight Falls the Spanish style because beachy and modern would look out of place.

All really great ideas! I wish they had given us more RH's to work with for the other towns. For DV I was thinking either a castle or even just a small Inn.. That one is going to be tough for sure!

I can't wait for IP so I can start building!

Dragon Valley could have a big tavern resort! Complete with hefty bar wenches and beer keg challenges. There could be entertainers juggling from the ST EP and a bunch of other awesome things that fit in with that medieval theme! You could have the hottub out back that looks like a spring too!

I think 🐸🐸🐸🐸 might suit an intentionally low quality beach resort, so long as it was handled properly, (or should that be poorly?).

For most of my resorts I'll be hiding the RH tower in the basement anyway, so I'll just use the smallest one :P

I suspect resorts will be themed by world like festivals. Some worlds like Lunar Lakes are so unique that you'd probebly want to place a high end loft resort there and in Dragon Valley you'd want a medievil type of resort.

Really like that idea  I need to start looking for inspiration pics! Ah I can feel my PEPs finally starting to heat up! haha Can't wait for IP to cool them back down

I'm actually very excited to build a nice large hotel for SV. I just can't decide if I want it in the secluded beach area, or on the main strip of SV beach. I would have to get rid of some lots that are there already that I built if I want road access but I feel I'll get more of a beach resort getaway feel if I'm laying in an area where you can't really see the rest of SV. So IDK. LOL I think a resort would fit nicely by the waterfall too. I have yet to build anything over there.
