Game is gone!

No Mods or CC!!
As it was, I was already having trouble with missing texture and then saving in the home world. I tried a few things but didn't fix the save problem. When I thought about moving my two sims out and then back in and try saving I found my game was 100% gone. Its like I have yet to start my Uni game. The last save that went through with out a problem was when they were about an hour from leaving Uni to go home. So what gives?
(Please answer with little words, not smart when it comes to this computer stuff. )
