Opportunitys... Not letting me complete them....

So, in my game I've gotten an opportunity to A} Try out for the lead in the ballet and B} Make my imaginary friend real. Well, With B I got the gem and sent it in, then I got the 4500 it asked for but now when clicking the science lab it doesnt let me click show up/deliver the money/get the potion.. er whatever its called. Same with the ballet. I got it and went to do the opportunity but it wont allow me to.. Anyone know how to fix this?
(Less elaborate description: after getting the opportunity, and click the required building it doesnt show its actually an opportunity. And no, I cant click the yellow bar above the wants to Go because thats not there... Its as if there is no opportunity..)
(Note: those are two different sims.. And ages.)
My game has never done this before and its odd because I haven't downloaded anything recently. Anyone know how to fix it? Any help is wanted/appreciated.
