Graphics card or game glitch?

Any idea what's going on here?

It was working fine two days ago. Nothing has changed computer wise since I last opened the sims. But this is what greeted me today.

did you try just restarting it? this happened to me today: http://25.media.tumblr.com/094c7fb97d54a97e44ee3b848ae176f9/tumblr_mgwrt4Fdgf1s2oxceo1_500.jpg

and w/in a few minutes it fixed itself.

(should be noted that i have an nvidia gt 8600 and i think, technically, seasons and supernatural aren't supposed to work w/ this card and they work fine aside from the occasional lag.)

Have mercy. I'm like a 6 year old when it comes to the inner workings of computers.

But, I think "Radeon HD 4200" is the answer you're looking for.

    Is that a graphics card?

Yes, Radeon HD 4200 is your graphics card and what the picture shows is almost certainly a graphics card glitch called "artifacting". This is generally caused by an overheating or failing graphics card.

Thanks. I turned all the graphics options down to their lowest settings and shut down my computer for a while. And it seems to be working for the moment. I'll just keep playing it while I still can.

Everyone pretty much just confirmed what I had suspected. But thank you all for helping. Happy Simming!
