Saves disappearing after Windows Startup Repair

I've lost five days of playing after my saves disappeared when I had to do Windows Start up repair. The first time it happened I only lost a day so then I started saving my saves folder to an external hard drive and when it happened again I just assumed I could put the last saves back but the game won't recognize any saves older than Jan 13 despite my last saves being on the 18th.... I haven't played since because I got so annoyed and have been trying to get my saves working.
My last try was to take the whole sims3 folder out and starting the game so I got a fresh one and then try and put my saves back together with my downloads because the family I play with lives in Sunlit Tides so I knew it wouldn't work without the world actually being there. But it made no different, the last save still says Jan 13...
I know it's better to have lost 5 days than the whole family but if anyone has any solution then I will be most grateful!
