Issues with PC items (Tree and Multitab)

Perhaps this is old, but sometimes it takes me a while to get around to figuring things out with my own game, but I finally figured out that it is the Tree of Prosperity (?) that is causing the aging (or lack of) issue in my game. I'm not sure if anyone has figured out a way around that or if this is even a problem for anyone else. My main issue is the Multitab. Has any been able to resolve the issue with Sims being unable to learn skills from it? I know that not everyone was having this issue, but for those that were? I haven't seen a fix for it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, there is a fix that has worked for some people with premium content items. The ccmerged file gets corrupted somehow when you've got more than one PC item. There are two links in this post that could help:

I think that I have had more than 1 PC item for a while so I wonder if it is one in particular. How disappointing because I am so hesitant to use a third-party file such as this (though apparently from looking around the forums, many people have had to rely on outside help to solve various issues). I will have to give it some thought, but thank you so much for your help.

It is possible your ccmerge file is missing or corrupt.
