Game keeps freezing..kind of...

This happens frequently. The game "freezes" but I can still hear sound effects. And see water, rain, plants moving.
Right now it's frozen on my sim and her interest, in the background I can see a fairies wings moving, the rain, the puddles from the rain hitting the pool.
I really do not want to lose my data. Usually when I change the speed a few times it comes back but this time it isn't =(
What could be causing this?

There may be a problem with one or more Sims navigating or routing in the game world. To troubleshoot, you can try resetting them. While in game, press CTRL + SHIFT + C on your keyboard to bring up the code console. After that, type in this command:
What this command does is reset every Sim in town with neutral motives, no moodlets, and teleports them back home.
